Type Of Questions
1) Job and Career Growth related questions
- Job related questions will help you understand what it will be like to actually be doing this job, and allow you to determine if this is a job you will like and thrive in.
- Career Growth questions pertain to your job role in the overall function of the company and what opportunities there are for you to eventually expand and grow in your job.
2) Company related questions
- The company being a good fit is just as important as liking the daily responsibilities of your job. What's the culture of the company like? Do you align with their values and believe in their mission?
3) Hiring process questions
- Hiring process questions are good questions to ask in an interview with the recruiter. These questions will give you a sense of whatβs going to happen next, what kind of person the company is looking to hire, and how quickly they are looking to fill the position etc.
Type of Interview
The type of questions you ask will be dependant upon what type of interview you are undertaking. Different interviews would determine this. Is it the initial interview with the recruiter? Are you interview with hiring manager, or are you having a casual coffee chat with one of the team members - make sure you choose your questions below based on the type of interview!

This is dependant on how much time you have left in the interview.
General rule of thumb: 2 - 4 questions
- Still have lots of time left: 4 questions
- Running out of time: 2 questions
